I have a friend. She is straight woman and I am a gay man. We are trying to meet single people in Ann Arbor, but we don't know how to go about doing it?
If we go out together, sometimes people assume we're dating. We want to do this together, though.
We don't like going to clubs.
Most people your age move out of Ann Arbor after school since it is expensive to 'live like an adult' here. In my opinion making friends through social hobbies or shared interests is the best, but YMMV. For example there are plenty of cycling and running groups if you are into that.
- Ann Arbor is a really tough spot for dating. I've been in a relationship for many years, but my single friends (age 25-35) have a difficult time meeting people.
- Dating safely during a pandemic is hard when you live in Michigan and it's cold af. Anyone have any ideas of things to do for a socially distanced date that are on the safer side where we won't freeze our asses off? Ideas already considered to get us started: walk/hike. Wrap up in separate blankets and hang out at a park.

I'm interviewing for a job and it got me seriously thinking about if would really move to Michigan! I currently live in Los Angeles and work in advertising. What's it like there for someone in their early 20s? What do people do on their free time when they're not working?
